What We Do

The Jamestown Community Farm

We farm 365 days a year for the specific purpose of providing fresh produce, in-season to food pantries throughout RI. We plant, harvest and deliver between 11 and 14 tons of vegetables annually and manage a small flock of chickens.

Communities Served

The JCF has a well-established delivery system that throughout the production season delivers fresh produce to the designated food pantries every week. Vegetables picked by volunteers on Tuesday evening are delivered the following morning and vegetables picked Thursday evening are delivered Friday morning. All four facilities have organized direct delivery systems and fresh vegetables picked in the evening are in the hands of the consumer by mid-morning the following day.
